This morning we were all excited because it was time for our first swimming lesson for the year! Unfortunately Mr Newton (our caretaker) hadn't quite finished preparing the pool for us to use. Instead of having a lesson in the pool we had a lesson about how the pool is kept clean for us to use. We learnt that Mr Newton has to add chemicals, including chlorine, into the pool every day. The water from the pool is rotated through the pipes and through a filter which removes dirt and rubbish from the water. This happens constantly, day and night. Sometimes Mr Newton has to vacuum the pool to pick up the mess from the bottom of the pool!
