Water in cars

We have discussed how water is used in car engines to keep them cool when they are running.  We went and had a look at a car engine and saw that the radiator at the front of the car.  A radiator is a big tank that holds water coolant.  Tubes pump the water coolant around the engine in a continuous cycle.  If we had no water in a car it will overhead and die!

Radiators are also used in engines in aeroplanes, trains, motorcycles and even in factories.

  1. What an interesting way to learn about water. We often forget that machines also need water to help them function or in this case cool down.

Well done Miss B I know the children would have found this very very interesting. SC's mum
