MP Carol Beaumont visits PDS

Today's special visitor to Rooms 12 and 14 was Carol Beaumont, Labour List MP (Member of Parliament) for Maungakiekie.  She very kindly agreed to tell us about her job and answered what seemed like a million questions!

We learnt that Carol has been an MP for two years.  Her favourite colour is red and that her favourite place is the beach.  Carol has two offices - one in Panmure and another in Onehunga.  She works Tuesdays to Thursdays at the Beehive in Wellington and while there flats there with another MP.  On the other days Carol lives in Auckland with her partner and pet cat.  Carol is a very busy lady who visits schools, preschools, churches and even has a stall at the Sunday market.  She says that she has helped thousands of people who have come to her office for assistance.  Carol says she loves her job and we loved having her tell us about herself and her job.

Here is a picture of Carol with Room 14 on our classroom steps.
