Today is World Maths Day! To celebrate some of us logged on to http://www.worldmathsday.com/ with our own individual user names and passwords. We were able to solve simple addition facts while competing with students from other parts of the world. Some compeditors we competed against were from the United States, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Mexico and of course New Zealand! We had to solve as many problems as we could within 60 seconds and, of course, it was so exciting when we won!
What a great way to teach the children new computer skills and to get them to use the knowledge they have already learnt. I know we have some clever students in Room 14 by looking at the work and comments from the blog. Keep it up. S.Cook
