We know that if we use our dictionaries they will help us to find the meanings of words that are new to us and they can also help us to learn how to spell words. Dictionaries are great books to have!

Dictionaries for Year 4 Students
The Year 4 students were so excited to receive their dictionaries from the Ellerslie Rotary Club this week. Each year the Rotary Club donates dictionaries to the Year 4 students at our school. This year three members of the club came for the presentation. To show our appreciation for the gifts we sang two special songs and two students gave speeches. We would like to give a big thank you to our lovely friends at the Ellerslie Rotary Club for their support and for thinking of us. We appreciate your kindness and will treasure the gifts you've given us.
We know RD enjoyed getting his dictionary because he had his nose in it from the hall (where it was presented to him) all the way to the classroom! When he was asked if he liked his new dictionary he said "I love my dictionary because it has pictures of all the things I like in it!"
We know that if we use our dictionaries they will help us to find the meanings of words that are new to us and they can also help us to learn how to spell words. Dictionaries are great books to have!
