Duffy Road Show

We were treated today to a lively and sometimes hilarious 45 minute drama from the Duffy Road Show team.  The team consisted of three fantastic actors as well as the show director Kerryn Palmer.  Every year the Duffy Road Show brings a different show featuring a character called Duffy which encourages children to love reading books.  This year's show is called Duffy's Book Bus Adventure.  In this show town mayor Mr Barrier tries to shut down the mobile library and use the money for playing golf instead.  Duffy and his librarian friend Awhina devise a way to keep the libraries open for all in the community. 

As an added bonus, Duffy Books are partnering with the public libraries by offering a free book to all children who visit their local library five times.  This is very exciting!

I learned that some people don't like libraries but we should keep them

so kids can read and improve their knowledge.
